Hello and welcome to my site. Yes I work in the IT business and like so many I would like to give my opinion on everything what has to do with virtualization and storage. My preference goes to VMware virtualization and EMC storage, so my stories are a little bit colored. The goal of this blog is simply to be a resource for myself and people who are enjoying reading this stuff.

I am an EMC Storage Technologist Specialist (EMCST), EMC Data Center Architect (EMCDCA) and a VMware Certified Professional (VCP3, VCP4 and VCP5), VTSP4, VTSP5, VSP5, vExpert and have expertise in EMC SAN, NAS, Avamar, virtualization and backup solutions. Besides that I have great expertise in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery. Currently I'm responsible for a large high-end virtualization and storage infrastructure for a mental health care organisation. In the past 3 years, I've been working intensively with redesigning Backup and Recovery, moving inactive data to another Tier layers, implementing an EMC Avamar backup, introduce new NAS storage an upgrade SAN storage with new EMC CLARiiON and VNX systems. At the same time do Data Center Architectures and coordinate a team to stay on the right side of the road In this misty "Cloud" landscape. Besides above I am verry allround as well.

Interests

Of course spent to much time behind my Mac, love biking, traveling, movies, Wife, two kids and a lot of other stuff. Besides my hobbies and full time job, I am also a Freelancer under the name                     'RM Consultant'.
